About Small Chair Conversations

Small Chair Conversations gives children the rare opportunity to sit down with remarkable people and ask the questions that matter most to them.

These are not performances, lectures, or promotional interviews.
They are honest, child-led conversations built on listening, curiosity, and respect.

Why this project exists

Children are often talked to, taught, or guided — but rarely invited to ask their own questions and be taken seriously by adults outside their everyday lives.

What we hope to create

By placing children at the centre of meaningful conversations, we hope to inspire confidence, curiosity, empathy, and courage — not only in the children who take part, but in those who watch and listen.

How conversations are conducted

Each conversation is prepared with care and conducted in a calm, respectful environment.
Children are never pressured to perform, and guests are invited to respond honestly, thoughtfully, and at a pace that feels comfortable for everyone involved.

Who is behind Small Chair Conversations

Small Chair Conversations is created and guided by a family who believes that children deserve to be heard, taken seriously, and given opportunities to engage with the wider world in meaningful ways.

Looking ahead

As the project grows, we hope these conversations will reach children and families who need encouragement, perspective, and hope — wherever they are.
