Thank you for considering taking part in Small Chair Conversations.
You may be joining us as an individual or representing a team, organisation or community. Guests are invited because their experiences, character and perspective can offer something meaningful to the next generation—not because of status or fame alone.
Every conversation is approached with care, preparation and respect. This page explains what participation involves and what you can expect before, during and after recording.
What the Conversation Is Like
Conversations are relaxed, informal and led by András. He reviews every question beforehand, giving the interview a clear structure while allowing the discussion to develop naturally.
There is no expectation to deliver polished or rehearsed answers. We value honest, thoughtful responses and a genuine exchange in a calm, supportive environment.
What to Expect on the Day
Guests receive the planned questions in advance and have an opportunity to discuss any topics, practical requirements or concerns beforehand. On the day, we allow time for everyone to settle in before recording begins, and breaks can be taken whenever needed.
Safeguarding and Respect
András’s wellbeing and each guest’s comfort are central to Small Chair Conversations.
Participation is voluntary. Questions are chosen with care, and anyone may pause or stop the conversation at any time. Tamas remains present throughout every recording and is responsible for András’s supervision and safeguarding.

Practical Details
Most recorded conversations last around 20–40 minutes. Guests should allow up to one hour overall for settling in, preparation and recording.
Interviews take place in person or online, with the location or platform agreed in advance. Any accessibility needs or practical requirements can be discussed beforehand.
Recordings may be edited into full-length videos and shorter extracts for SCC’s website, YouTube and social media channels. Guests receive a media consent form in advance explaining how the recording may be used.
How to Take Part
If you believe your experiences, work or story could add something meaningful to the SCC library, we would be pleased to hear from you. Every proposed conversation is considered carefully, including what a young person could carry away from it even if they have no particular interest in the guest’s profession or subject.
Getting in touch creates no commitment on either side. Tamas will respond personally to discuss the idea, answer questions and decide together whether the conversation is a good fit and what practical steps would follow.
