For Guests
Thank you for considering taking part in Small Chair Conversations.
Whether you are joining us as an individual or representing an organisation, team or community, your experiences and perspective can help create a meaningful conversation for young people, families, educators and the wider community. Guests are invited because we believe their stories, work or experiences can offer something worth hearing.
What the conversation is like
Conversations are relaxed, informal and led by Andras, who prepares and reviews his questions beforehand. The questions provide a clear structure, but the discussion is free to develop naturally.
There is no expectation to deliver polished answers. We value honest, thoughtful responses and a genuine exchange in a calm, supportive environment.
What to expect on the day
Guests receive the planned questions in advance and have an opportunity to discuss any topics, practical requirements or concerns beforehand. On the day, we allow time for everyone to settle in before recording begins, and breaks can be taken whenever needed.
Safeguarding and respect
Andras’s wellbeing and the comfort of every guest are central to Small Chair Conversations.
Participation is voluntary, questions are selected with care, and anyone involved may pause or stop the conversation at any time. Andras’s father remains present and responsible for his supervision throughout every recording.
Practical details
The recorded conversation usually lasts around 20–40 minutes, although guests should allow up to one hour overall for preparation and recording.
The location – or online arrangement – is agreed in advance, with any accessibility requirements or practical preferences considered beforehand.
Interviews are filmed, edited and published through Small Chair Conversations’ online channels. Guests receive a media consent form in advance so that they understand and agree to how the recording may be used.
How to take part
If you believe your experiences, work or story could contribute to Small Chair Conversations, we would be very pleased to hear from you. Every potential conversation is considered carefully to ensure that it fits the project’s values and format.
Getting in touch does not commit you to taking part. We will respond personally to discuss the idea, answer any questions and consider the practical next steps together.
